The Trailblazer name has been around for a while, but with the most recent generation, Chevrolet is giving us something new. This latest version of the Trailblazer is a subcompact SUV with a youthful spirit to it, and it stands out in Dover because of its affordability, interior size and convenient features.
Chevy has given the Trailblazer two engine options. They're both turbocharged ECOTEC® engines, but one has a displacement of 1.2 liters, while the other is a bit larger with a displacement of 1.3 liters. The smaller version can deliver up to 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. With the larger engine, Newark drivers will have up to 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque at their fingertips.
All-wheel drive is available on all four trims. If the LS and LT are equipped with all-wheel drive, they also come with the larger engine. Regardless of their drivetrain, the Activ and RS trims come standard with the larger engine as well.

Fortunately, every trim of the Trailblazer has an advanced infotainment system.
The standard package consists of a 7.0-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth®, voice command, Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. SiriusXM® is another standard component that you'll appreciate. With a higher trim, you may have the opportunity to upgrade to an 8.0-inch touchscreen, which is compatible with cloud-connected personalization, in-vehicle apps and Alexa technology.
As you drive around Boonton, it can be comforting to know that you're in a solidly built vehicle with many safety mechanisms that are ready to engage at any time. The Trailblazer has several programs that are constantly working to keep you safe.
For instance, it can continually monitor the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. If it detects that you're approaching it too quickly, you'll be given a warning, and the SUV can even apply the brakes on your behalf in an emergency. This also works with pedestrians who may be in the road.
Lane keep assist, lane departure warning and a rear vision camera are standard, too. Park assist, rear cross traffic alert and blind zone monitoring are other options to think about.
The Trailblazer has a sizable cabin. Total cargo space is nearly 55 cubic feet when the rear seats are lowered, and rear-seat leg room is almost 40 inches. This SUV can have a power-adjustable driver's seat, automatic climate control and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Cloth and leatherette are the options for seat upholstery, and the steering wheel and gear shifter can come wrapped in leather.
At Nielsen Chevrolet, we offer all four Trailblazer trims to our Hackettstown customers. The LS is the first one in the lineup, and the LT follows it. With the LS, some features worth highlighting are 17-inch aluminum wheels, automatic headlamps, automatic high beams and signature LED Daytime Running Lamps. The LT has these features, as well, and adds features like LED fog lamps, heated side mirrors and remote engine start.
The top two trims are the Activ and the RS. They're actually priced at the same point, but there are some minor differences. For example, the Activ has trapezoidal polished tips as part of its exhaust system, and it has sport terrain tires and titanium chrome accents. The RS has 18-inch high gloss black wheels, black bowtie emblems and black accents.
